The Policy Innovation and Coordination Office invites proposals for a special round of the Public Policy Research (PPR) Funding Scheme.
In view of the recent social incidents started in June 2019, the Assessment Panel of the PPR Funding Scheme believes that the research community could contribute to identifying the underlying causes and recommending solutions to address the deep-seated problems of Hong Kong society through conducting evidence-based policy research. The Panel has therefore decided to launch a special round of funding applications to support research studies on topics relating to the underlying causes of the recent social incidents, as well as important political, economic, cultural and societal issues relating to the deep-seated problem of society. A sum of up to HK$500,000 for a period of up to six months may be granted to each approved project under the special round. Strong justifications are required for any project costing over HK$500,000 and/or exceeding six months.
